The 96th Academy Awards are just around the corner and Disney this year has earned itself 20 nominations of which POOR THINGS grabs the headlines with 11 total Oscar nominations. ELEMENTAL, THE CREATOR, and GUARDIANA OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 are some of the other big names to get recognition this year in addition to a handful of others, although surprisingly Disney did not make it into the category for animated short this year.
Last year, Disney brought home two Oscar statues with wins for BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER and AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER.
