In a special ceremony this morning, Pixar Place Hotel was officially welcomed as the newest hotel at the Disneyland Resort. Replacing the former Disney’s Paradies Pier Hotel, the fully renovated lodging destination brings 479 rooms, a rethemed pool and refreshed areas for dining, shopping, and recreation.
The opening day dedication featured Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock and Pixar Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter. Characters on hand for the big celebration included Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater from CARS plus other Pixar favorites including Woody and Buzz from TOY STORY; Joy and Bing-Bong from INSIDE OUT; Russel and Dug from UP; and Miguel from COCO. Of course, there was a bunch of confetti!
“At Pixar, our mission is to tell great stories. And nothing is more exciting than when we see those stories come to life in Disney parks. Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort is the perfect example – it’s like walking into a world of Pixar. It’s truly immersive, and we’re thrilled to have collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to make such an experience possible for guests.”
— Pete Docter
