Let your heart grow three sizes during the holiday season at Universal Studios Hollywood where the Grinch finds redemption just in time for a dazzling tree lighting that includes a light show and snowfall over the village of Whoville.

The approximately 15-minute show features the Grinch who interrupts the Who-bilation with Cindy-Lou Who, Martha May Whovier, the Mayor of Whoville and other Whoville residents only to learn the true meaning of the holidays — culminating with a dusting of snow and a dazzling light show on the tree set to “Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson.

Grinchmas Tree Lighting show takes place at the giant tree at the center of the Who-ville setup in Universal Plaza near the main entrance of the park. Several benches surround the tree and spaces can usually be snagged about 25-minutes before the posted showtime but you’ll want to arrive earlier for a front-row spot.

The show is typically performed at 5:30pm, 6:15pm, 7:00pm, and 7:45pm with fewer showtimes likely during the week or on days with shorter hours. You’ll always want to check the app for showtimes on the day of your visit for the latest information. Signs are also posted in the Grinchmas area with showtimes.
