The Villas at Disneyland Hotel are the newest property of the Disney Vacation Club at the Disneyland Resort and it promises a heavy dose of Disney magic inspired by characters across the company’s entire 100 year history. Today, courtesy of Disney, we have a closer look at the fun and colorful mural for the hotel’s lobby.
Created for the lobby of the new 12-story tower, the artwork was carefully crafted by Disney artist Lorelay Bové. Aside from carefully crafting the mural, she was an associate production designer on ENCANTO and worked on several other films including WRECK-IT RALPH, ZOOTOPIA, BIG HERO 6, TANGLED, WINNIE THE POOH, and THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, Her artwork has spanned many uses including books and other Disney art pieces.
The mural features a bunch of hidden Mickeys in addition to several characters from iconic films including PETER PAN, SLEEPING BEAUTY, ALICE IN WONDERLAND, MOANA, FANTASIA, JUNGLE BOOK, THE LION KING, ALADDIN, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, MULAN, BIG HERO 6, ENCANTO, THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, FROZEN, RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON, BAMBI, and even Disney’s newest film WISH.
