With little fanfare, Disney confirmed today via tweet that the upcoming live action AHSOKA Star Wars series will be making its 2-episode debut on Disney+ a day early on August 22, 2023. As part of this shift, the entire series will now drop new episodes on Tuesdays going forward.

STAR WARS: AHSOKAAHSOKA follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Rosario Dawson will be joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla. Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, with Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer. Kevin Kiner was announced as the series’ composer.
