In record time, the virtual queue for Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party has closed which effectively means the event completely sold out of tickets on the first day of the re-start of ticket sales.
Following a Magic Key advance sale on June 27, ticket sales for the general public opened on June 29 but were quickly met with technical difficulties that prompted a halt in sales that same day. On July 11, ticket sales resumed and promptly sold out by the end of the day leaving innumerable fans — who had been in the virtual queue for 8+ hours — without any gains for their efforts once ticket sales were completely and permanently ended.
Last year, despite ever-increasing prices, the event sold out in less than a week which was an unprecedented first considering the event took upwards of 20 weeks to completely sell out in prior years.
As always, hope is not necessarily lost. On occasion, Disney DOES hold back certain event dates to be purchased from Guest Relations so you can always try your hand there if you missed your chance to purchase online. You can also check with the Hotel Concierge at the Disneyland Resort Hotels for visits that overlap with event nights. Although not expected, there is always the possibility of new event dates being added to the roster.
