The completion of San Fransokyo Square draws near at Disney California Adventure. To help build excitement for the refresh of the former Pacific Wharf section of the park, Disney has unveiled new concept art and details for what guests can expect summer 2023 when the land makes its official debut.
The whole land will be decked out in street art and colorful banners celebrating the Big Hero 6 team after their victory over Yokai. Here’s a look at everything we know so far coming to San Fransokyo Square at Disney California Adventure.

Entertainment
Hamada Bot Shop — Meet Baymax and Hiro
- Despite its confusing name, this appears to not be a store but actually the place to see not just Baymax and Hiro Hamada.
- This backstory for this revived warehouse is that it serves as the headquarters where the Big Hero 6 team build and innovate their hi-tech gear and so some of of their upcoming inventions will be on display.
- The location will be found outside a converted warehouse at the south end of San Fransokyo where Pacific Wharf Distribution Co. Food Truck is currently located.

Aunt Cass Café
Additional detials:Aunt Cass Café refreshed menu coming soon as part of San Fransokyo Square expansion at Disney California Adventure
- Promising dishes that include soups in freshly-baked Boudin sourdough bread bowls and more inspired by Japanese cuisine.
- On the outside of this quick service restaurant, you’ll find a mural of Aunt Cass’ lucky pet cat, Mochi.
- The backstory for this location is that it’s the second bakery café operated by Hiro’s loving aunt.
- This location replaces the Pacific Wharf Café
Rita’s Turbine Blenders

- A giant drink dispenser offering delicious margaritas and icy beverages.
- The backstory is that this is an old fishing net tannery converted to a refreshment stand that is owned by and named after the repair technician who maintains the floating giant koi wind turbine that sits atop the structure.
- This location replaces Rita’s Baja Blenders.
Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería

- The backstory for this location draws inspiration from its tri-cultural influences with signage in English, Japanese and Spanish.
- Outside will be a fun and inviting beer garden decorated with festoon lights and papel picado.
- This location will be adjacent to La Cocina Cucamonga.
La Cocina Cucamonga

Backstory and Details
San Fransokyo Square will transport you to the not-too-distant future, in a fictional mash-up of two iconic cities – San Francisco and Tokyo. As the tech industry began to emerge and the local fishing trade fell on hard times, entrepreneurs came together to reinvent the seaside canneries into a vibrant, multicultural district of neighborhood restaurants and small businesses where you’ll be able to eat and shop.
San Fransokyo Gate Bridge
Recreates a key visual of the skyline from BIG HERO 6 with a bright orange-red bridge reminiscent of both San Francisco and Tokyo.

The San Fransokyo Square re-imagining of Pacific Wharf at Disney California Adventure is expected to be completed in phases over summer 2023 with final completion expected near August 2023.
