Today, at Star Wars Celebration in London, THE ACOLYTE series coming to Disney+ had a special spotlight offering fans a peek at what they can expect in 2024.

During the event, THE ACOLYTE creator and showrunner Leslye Headland, escorted by Kelnacca, a Wookiee Jedi from the series, joined Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy for an overview of the new series.

Joining Headland and Kennedy on stage were the series’ stars—Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman and “Star Wars” veteran Joonas Suotamo, who plays Kelnacca. The show also stars Carrie-Anne Moss and Margarita Levieva and is currently in production.

THE ACOLYTE promises a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

From creator, showrunner and executive producer Leslye Headland (“Russian Doll”), THE ACOLYTE  has begun production in the U.K. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef. Rayne Roberts and Damian Anderson are producing. Headland will also direct the series pilot.
