After an uncomfortably long bout of will-they or won’t-they, the Disneyland Resort has finally unveiled details for renewals as we near the end of the first year of their availability. For now, the details are only with regards to RENEWALS meaning we still don’t know if/when NEW sales will resume.
As far as renewals there’s a few extra tidbits to know. Aside from prince increases, the Dream Key is no longer available (replaced by a more expensive Inspire Key). Other big changes include Genie+ discounts for all Key levels, discounted parking for some levels (the Inspire Key includes free parking), and the return of unlimited PhootPass for some levels.

Differences At A Glance
New this year, Magic Key holders are being offered:
- 20% off Disney Genie+ service (subject to limited availability) on days when you use your pass for park admission
- Discounted standard theme park parking at the Toy Story Parking Area for Enchant and Imagine Key pass types
- Unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads for Inspire and Believe Key pass types (Coming Soon)
- A collectible Magic Key magnet with “a bit of a surprise” with this year’s renewal

- Make theme park reservations, subject to availability of park reservations allocated to Magic Key passes, applicable pass blockout dates, and the Magic Key Terms and Conditions
- Hold more than one theme park reservation at a time for different dates

If your Magic Key Already Expired
According to Scott Gustin on Twitter, if your pass has expired or will expire before August 18, you can call Disneyland anytime between August 18 and August 31 to renew your pass.

You can renew your Magic Key pass up to 30 days before your current pass expires. Magic Key renewals reportedly begin no earlier than 9 a.m. PT on August 18, 2022.
