With the release of BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER in theaters later this year, fans are already looking forward to what characters might be appearing in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
New casting notices tease that aside from seeking additional “Black Panther” and “Dora Milaje” roles, the Happiest Place on Earth is also looking to cast an unnamed African Warrior and Chieftain character plus additional character roles.
The NEW ROLE role seeks male performers, 6’2″-6’5″. The audition notes, actors will be playing a strong and powerful male African Warrior and Chieftain with a good sense of rhythm both in movement and voice. The audition seeks experienced actors from the diverse spectrum of ethnic & cultural backgrounds, types, and abilities who are adept at engaging and interacting with guests. Must be fully available from November 1, 2022 through January 9, 2023.
In addition, Disney is looking to cast the role of BLACK PANTHER (5’11-6’3″): As both the protector and King of Wakanda, Black Panther is focused on fulfilling his duty to his people. He is rooted in the traditions set before him while striking out to create a legacy of his own. The role seeks performers with a full range of body movement with high-energy performing abilities and imaginative personal interaction skills.
Additionally within the MCU, there are audition notices to cast CAPTAIN AMERICA (SAM WILSON) (5’11-6’1) with performers with a full range of body movement with high-energy performing abilities and imaginative personal interaction skills. Sam Wilson, formerly the Falcon, takes on the mantle of Captain America as he teams up with his fellow Avengers.
Female auditions include DORA MILAJE (5’4-6’0), performers with a full range of body movement with high-energy performing abilities and imaginative personal interaction skills. The characters are an elite group of female warriors dedicated to protecting the throne of Wakanda. They fight bravely and will sacrifice everything for their King and country. This role performs with a shaved head.
Jumping outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DIsneyland is also looking to cast the role PRINCESS TIANA (5’5-5’8) with performers who have a full range of body movement with high-energy performing abilities and imaginative personal interaction skills. The character is described as a bright and resourceful young woman who always dreamed of opening her own restaurant in her home town of New Orleans. As fate should have it, an adventure involving a frog, a firefly, and an alligator reveal to her that balancing work with love is necessary if she truly wants to be happy.
