After officially launching ticket sales to return to the Happiest Place on Earth on Thursday morning, the Disneyland Resort just 24 hours later seems to still have wide availability for guests to visit starting on its grand reopening date of April 30, 2021.
As of press time, only one date has sold out completely for availability: June 5, 2021. This is the fist Saturday following the announced June 4 opening for the Disney California Adventure Marvel-themed expansion of Avengers Campus which will boast a brand new Spider-Man attraction plus new entertainment, dining, and shopping options. The actual opening date a day earlier shows no availability for Disney California Adventure Park with guests still able to visit Disneyland Park on that day.
Got tix and reservation a few hours ago (on dif device) but opened up the app to review details and got this interesting message. So the system seems to definitely know when you got in line but it seems like the prioritization of order is definitely broken? #DisneylandReopening pic.twitter.com/5Q374EOmx6

Otherwise, there’s options available for the entire 60-day calendar of available days for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. It is important to note that availability for Disneyland is already unavailable on several days leaving guests with only Disney California Adventure as an option. There’s also differences in availability based on ticket type with 1-Park tickets seeming to outpace sales of Park Hopper tickets.
As of the early hours of Friday morning, the waiting room to access and purchase tickets was less than 10-minutes long which can either be an ominous forecast of a slow return to normalcy in travel volume this year and/or a reflection of a ticketing system that thus far has been reportedly fraught with technical difficulties with some users reporting unsuccessful waits of 14 hours or more. In our own first-hand experience it took nearly 12 hours to clear the waiting room while others reportedly were able to complete the process in less than a few hours.
The April 30 reopening of the Disneyland Resort theme parks marks more than a year since the March 16, 2020 closure in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Disney had originally had optimistic plans of opening just two-weeks later and then launched an unsuccessful bid to reopen on July 17 for its 65th anniversary.
