Sharing the news this afternoon to social media including Facebook and Twitter, Disney confirmed today that the next D23 Expo will officially be held September 9-11, 2022.

Disney promises the “D23 Expo 2022” will be a celebration unlike any other giving fans a first look at incredible plans as they look ahead to celebrating the 100th anniversary of the entire Walt Disney Company.

While the official announcement did not indicate a location, it is expected that the D23 Expo will return once again to the Anaheim Convention Center located across the street from the Disneyland Resort.

The biennial event was originally scheduled for next year but the ever changing landscape, rife with concerns of social distancing and spacing surrounding the on-going coronavirus pandemic seem to have been cause for the unprecedented shift in scheduling for Disney’s ultimate fan event.
