Oculus and ILMxLAB announced today STAR WARS: TALES FROM THE GALAXY’S EDGE virtual experience which will immerse users into the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu as seen in the popular theme park expansions at Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Collaborating with Walt Disney Imagineering, the project will take users into a virtual version of the land that includes a new cantina that has nothing to do with Oga and her over-crowded watering hole.
For this adventure, we begin in classic Star Wars fashion, the journey begins with you on a cargo ship. What could go wrong? Bobby Moynihan voices a 6-eyed alien by the name of Seezelslak; the talkative barkeep and owner of the new Cantina around which the adventures in the new experience are anchored. Debra Wilson was also tapped for the project voicing a fearsome member of the Guavian Death Gang, Tara Rashin.
If that wasn’t enough, the experience promises appearances from iconic STAR WARS characters, too. Although mum’s the words on which ones, we do know there will unfortunately be a healthy dose of rat-bird Porgs.
See it for Yourself
