Running Universal’s inaugural Epic Character Race 5K and 10K medalsThe Running Universal inaugural Epic Character Race 5K and 10K is getting ready to run on February 1 & 2 at Universal Orlando Resort and ahead of the registration deadline (that’s January 29 at 12 p.m. EST) we have a look at the race medals!

The first-ever Epic Character Races will give participants ages five and up the unique opportunity to race through Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure during an action-packed race weekend surrounded by some of the most beloved characters in pop culture. And with both races starting at 6:15 a.m., the races are truly an epic way to start the day surrounded by the most entertaining theme parks in the Universe.

Along with earning an Instagram-worthy medal, runners in each race will have the opportunity to participate in unique photo opportunities with their favorite characters along the race routes, earn exclusive swag to commemorate their experience and more!

And for runners looking to celebrate their “sweet” victory, exclusive 5K and 10K doughnuts will be available at Voodoo Doughnut at Universal CityWalk – featuring banana and peanut butter filling for a totally sweet energy boost.
