The amount of projects going on at Disney Parks right now has our heads reeling. From new Avengers attractions to Cruise Ships, Private Islands, and and SPACE CRUISERS, Disney Parks are literally taking us around the entire galaxy over the next few years. Last Thursday, we got our first tease of the Disney Parks future then on Sunday we got a whole bunch more details about the future of Disney Parks.

Rise of the Resistance
We got a first official look inside the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction with a new marketing video for RISE OF THE RESISTANCE! Inside, you will join the Resistance and depart from Batuu in a transport ship to meet General Leia Organa at a secret rendezvous point. Along the way, however, you will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. The action then ramps up as you seek to escape the clutches of Kylo Ren and the First Order – with the help of some heroes of the Resistance.

Avengers Campus
Coming to both Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris the new Marvel-themed lands will bring new rides, dining, shopping, and entertainment opportunities.
Magic Happens, parade
Set for a Spring 2020 debut, the new Magic Happens parade will course its way through Disneyland Park bringing with it a dazzling new daytime spectacle with all-new floats and magic to encounter. Plus, singer-songwriter Todrick Hall collaborated with Disney create a high-energy song that interweaves with classic Disney tunes in a fun contemporary style.

Mickey’s Runaway Railway
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is coming to both Disneyland park in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida both their exteriors will vary slightly.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway puts you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of Disney Channel’s Emmy® Award-winning “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts! Once you step into the cartoon world of Mickey and Minnie, you’ll board a train with Goofy as the engineer. Then, one magical moment after the next leads you to a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.
With an original story and lovable theme song, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway uses state-of-the-art technologies and dazzling visual effects to transform the cartoon world into an incredible and immersive multidimensional experience.
At Disneyland
At Disneyland park, the attraction will be opening in Mickey’s Toontown in 2022. The action takes place at the El CapiTOON Theater, where Mickey and Minnie are premiering their newest short, “Perfect Picnic.” Before you enter the cinema, you’ll experience a special exhibit created by the Toontown Hysterical Society featuring costumes and props from the toon world.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Imagineers are getting ready to open next year. You’ll be invited to the Chinese Theatre, which serves as the magic portal through which theatergoers will step from the human world directly into the cartoon world for one Goofy adventure aboard Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway!
Epcot’s epic transformation
Epcot is seeing huge changes already in devleopment including a completely re-imagined Future World plus new attractions and experiences for the park’s unprecedented growth which will bring tons of change to the offerings at Walt Disney World.
Star Wars Hotel!
One of the most exciting announcements for Star Wars fans were the details about the upcoming “Star Wars Hotel” which we now know is being called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser! First and foremost, you want to think of this place NOT as a hotel (check-in whenever you want) but more like a cruise ship (with predetermined voyage dates). So for this cruise liner, you’ll embark on 2-day, 2-night itineraries where all guests arrive and depart together. From there you map out your own Star Wars story.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana
Inspired by the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, this lush exploration trail will invite guests to meet and play with magical, living water. The water will have a life of its own – just like Moana’s friend, the ocean – and guests will learn about the importance of the natural water cycle.

Disney X Cirque du Soleil
This new yet-to-be named production will be inspired by the magic of Disney animation with collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Imagineering and Cirque du Soleil. It will open for previews March 20, 2020, and officially premiere April 17, 2020.
Expect signature original acrobatic performances, dazzling choreography, musical masterpieces and whimsical characters bringing Disney stories and characters to life in an unforgettable new way.
Disney Animator Eric Goldberg has been working on creating new animation for the show while Benoît Jutras has been tapped to create the music.
Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge
The unique hotel and proposed Disney Vacation Club resort will draw inspiration from the wonders of nature and artistry of Walt Disney. We learned that new treehouse villas are in the works along with a bayou-side restaurant themed to Princess and the Frog.
Disney Genie
Disney Genie is a brand new tool to help navigate the increasingly overwhelming Walt Disney World vacation landscape. The new new digital offering — set to debut in late 2020 — will enhance the way you plan for and experience a trip to Walt Disney World Resort by linking up with other innovations like the MagicBand. What will your pleasure be? Disney Genie will help to realize that wish.

Walt Disney World 50
The 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort will be one of the biggest ever with a celebration that will extend beyond Magic Kingdom to each of the resort’s four theme parks with highly anticipated attraction openings and new entertainment, food and beverage, merchandise, and more.
Disney Cruise Line
The two big stories to emerge are news of a second tropical destination in The Bahamas and the name for one of the new ships joining the lineup.
Shanghai Disneyland, Zootopia
The new “Zootopia”-themed land coming to Shanghai Disney Resort promises major new attraction that blends storytelling and state-of-the-art technology to bring this favorite film to lifeplus immersive entertainment, merchandise, and dining options that can only be found in this mammalian metropolis.
Hong Kong Disneyland
As part of its multi-year transformation, Hong Kong Disneyland’s iconic castle is becoming Castle of Magical Dreams. In addition, two exciting attractions are coming to a new, immersive “Frozen”-themed area at the resort!
Castle of Magical Dreams
The new direction for the castle draws inspiration from 13 beloved Disney stories featuring princesses and heroines. The structure will feature adornments like Snow White’s apple, Cinderella’s coach and Belle’s rose as well as original artwork and sculptures. The new castle will include:
- New entertainment — including a daytime show and nighttime spectacular
- Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Frozen
The new “Frozen” area will feature:
- Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs coaster which will take guests on a winding journey through Arendelle. Each experience on Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs begins when you visit Oaken’s infamous store. Then, Olaf and Sven help pull your sled to the top of the lift before sending you on your way.
- Frozen Ever After – the popular attraction at Epcot – will also be opening bringing an adventurous journey through the kingdom of Arendelle.
Disney Store at Target
Target and Disney will come together with a creative retail collaboration that encompasses experiential retail and merchandising – including the launch of 25 Disney stores within select Target stores nationwide on October 4, with 40 additional locations opening by October 2020. The “shop-in-shop” will feature an enhanced Disney assortment of more than 450 items, including more than 100 products that were previously only available at Disney retail locations.
