Disney Junior Dance Party! has been confirmed to arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios later this fall mimicking it’s Disney California Adventure counterpart which debuted last year. Based on the announcement, it seems that the show will be identical except for a small update to replace SOFIA THE FIRST with the new Disney Junior hit show, VAMPIRINA.

What was noticeably absent in the announcement for Florida was any mention of the California version of the show. In the past, both Resorts typically updated their Disney Junior lineups at roughly the same time but for now it seems that Disney California Adventure is not getting the Vampirina update. Of course, omission does not mean exclusion and it’s also not unusual for Disney to make separate announcements between both Resorts for similar offerings.

Still, the location of the show building for Disney Junior Dance Party! at Disney California Adventure has us wondering if something decidedly more Marvel-ous might be in the plans for the space? It doesn’t seem likely but considering that Disney has already permanently shuttered It’s Tough To Be A Bug which is right next door — and also that the whole of “a bug’s land” would be closed by the fall — it doesn’t seem completely outside of the realm of possibility that the show could be moving to another of the empty spaces in Hollywood Land… or be going away completely.

The removal of that building would open up the space to potentially create an entrance into the Marvel-themed land recently confirmed directly from Buena Vista Street. Or the fronts could stay on the Hollywood Land side and the space merely absorbed into show buildings for the Marvel expansion. It could also have nothing to do with the Marvel land and the space could return to service as a restaurant or a lounge in a park that seems increasingly short on capacity for noshing. Maybe with a premium setup for parade viewing, utilizing the adjacent kitchens in Carthay Circle? There’s your upcharge monetization.

…Or maybe they just haven’t announced VAMPIRINA yet.
