Tokyo Disney Resort has unveiled its plans for the upcoming holiday season and it promises to be packed with tons of Christmas cheer.  From the enchanting Disney Christmas Stories holiday parade to the suitably wordy Colors of Christmas: Nighttime Wishes fireworks spectacular, there will be plenty to enjoy during Christmas at Tokyo Disney Resort which goes this year from November 8 through December 25, 2016.

See below for some of the official announcements.

As part of its “Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary: The Year of Wishes” celebration, Tokyo DisneySea will offer its annual special event “Christmas Wishes.” This year, in keeping with the theme of the Park’s anniversary, the holiday event will glisten even more with the symbolic Crystals of Wishes adding extra sparkle.

After dark, “Colors of Christmas: Nighttime Wishes” will be presented on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor. The Disney Friends, dressed in new costumes to match the colors of the Crystals of Wishes, will make wishes with the Guests to light up the central Christmas tree on the harbor. Then as the Christmas version of the Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary theme song is heard, shining Christmas trees and other glowing objects appear in the colors of the Crystals of Wishes creating an enchanting atmosphere.

In American Waterfront, Christmas trees designed with Crystals of Wishes will be found in Waterfront Park and the 15-meter-tall Christmas tree set up in front of the luxury ocean liner, S.S. Columbia, will be decorated with the 15th Anniversary logo. Decorations around the Park will also reflect this milestone year at Tokyo DisneySea.

In addition, Guests will find a wide variety of holiday enjoyment around the Park, including “A Perfect Christmas,” an entertainment program featuring the Disney Friends sharing their dreams of Christmas, and the glowing illuminations of “Fiesta de la Luz,” (Spanish for “festival of lights”) at Lost River Delta.

At Tokyo Disneyland, Guests will be able to enjoy the special event “Christmas Fantasy,” which is themed to “pop-up storybooks full of the Disney Friends’ Christmas fun.” This event offers Guests a happy and fantastic Disney-style Christmas.

Presented along the parade route, “Disney Christmas Stories” will bring to life pages from storybooks showing the Disney characters having fun at Christmastime. Oversize pop-up storybooks and other decorations around the Park entrance and the Plaza in front of Cinderella Castle will also feature the Disney Characters celebrating the holidays. There will even be a pop-up storybook photo location that will give Guests the experience of literally being part of the story. And all through the Park, Guests will be able to enjoy a colorful and heartwarming world of Christmas as only Tokyo Disneyland can offer.

Tokyo DisneySea will offer about 50 different types of special merchandise for Christmas that reflect the 15th Anniversary, including items that feature the crystal Christmas tree in Waterfront Park, as well as items designed with Mickey Mouse and other Disney Characters dressed in the colors of their Crystal of Wishes. Guests will also find about 25 different types of Santa Claus-themed items featuring Duffy and his friends.

At Tokyo Disneyland, around 45 different types of special merchandise will be sold featuring designs from the parade showing the Disney Friends enjoying Christmas and designs based on the Christmas trees made of stacked books that decorate World Bazaar.

Offered at both Parks will be about 70 types of special merchandise based on the SnoSnow characters who look like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse made of snow. Also on offer will be Make It Mine merchandise that allows Guests to choose accessories and parts to customize their very own SnoSnow plush toy.

In addition, there will be around 35 types of attractive items that come in gift packaging ideal for this year’s Christmas gift-giving.

Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina and Yucatan Base Camp Grill in Tokyo DisneySea will offer dishes just right for Christmas that can be enjoyed together with the illuminations of “Fiesta de la Luz.” Guests can enjoy the special full-course menus at S.S. Columbia Dining Room and Magellan’s that are perfect for enjoying the holiday season with their dear ones.

This year at Tokyo Disneyland, the special menus will reflect the storybook theme of the event. Served at Eastside Cafe will be a charming full-course meal, while the Plaza Pavilion Restaurant will offer a colorful Christmas set. In addition, Captain Hook’s Galley will serve a pizza set with a Christmas tree motif.

Both Parks will offer a hot apple-based beverage that is both sweet and tart. The beverage will come with a souvenir spoon designed like the cute SnoSnows. In addition, popcorn buckets in the shape of Mr. Potato Head dressed as Santa Claus, popcorn cases with Christmas designs and sweet dumpling cases in the shape of the Little Green Men dressed as reindeer will be offered for the first time this year.

Guests will be able to enjoy the Christmas mood in restaurants all around the Parks.

In conjunction with the Parks, Disney Ambassador® Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta®, Tokyo Disneyland® Hotel, the Disney Resort Line, and Ikspiari will also host events perfect for the holiday season.
