The war raged on at the box office this weekend when CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR quickly raked in a box office take of  $179.1 million. Sound like a lot? It is, that makes it the fifth biggest opening of all time and gives Marvel Studios four out of the top six opening weekends ever.

The superhero smash-up has brought in $494 million internationally for an incredible $673.1 million global box office take after just TWELVE days!

It promises to be a banner year for Disney with features yet to debut including Alice Through the Looking Glass (May 27), Disney•Pixar’s Finding Dory (June 17), The BFG (July 1), Pete’s Dragon (Aug. 12), Queen of Katwe (Sept. 23), Marvel’s Doctor Strange (Nov. 4), Disney Animation’s Moana (Nov. 23), and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Dec. 16).
