Disney confirmed today the new DISNEY AFTER HOURS events which are an extra-cost ticketed offering to enter Magic Kingdom park after regular park closing. The event promises limited availability to keep crowds small and also includes complimentary ice cream novelties and bottled beverages during the three hours of the event. On the flip-side the event only promises access to select attractions and areas.
What sort of cost do you put on that magic? $149 per person. Event dates are below:
- April 14, 21 and 28
- May 5, 8, 12 and 19
Despite being billed as 3-hour event, guests can actually start checking in as early as 7pm with the event hours from 11 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Attractions touted to be available include (but are not limited to) Space Mountain, Dumbo, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and also the character greetings like the ones in Town Square and Princess Fairytale Hall.
Many have criticized the pricey new add-on as basically being a for-pay version of the Extra Magic Hours benefit enjoyed by guests of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The new offering does not replace those events but instead takes place on OTHER days when the Extra Magic Hours are not scheduled for the park.
