Space Mountain at Disneyland is hardly conducive to filming but it didn’t stop us from trying to capture the new STAR WARS overlay that has transformed the classic attraction into HYPERSPACE MOUNTAIN. The attraction soft opened intermittently yesterday and we had a chance to hop aboard to a galaxy far, far away.
About the Attraction
After a video briefing from Admiral Ackbar in the queue, we find ourselves underway to join the battle. After the lift-hill launches us into lightspeed, we find ourselves amidst a battle dodging blaster fire and narrowly escape collision with asteroids, X-Wings and other spacecraft.
The iconic music from the film is used perfectly creating a layover not all that unfamiliar to Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy but with a logical story narrative that puts us in the middle of battle during the high speed adventure through the dark!
