Out of sensitivity for those whose skin crawls seeing mismatched anachronistic holiday promotions, we decided to wait until both Halloween and Thanksgiving had officially passed to let the Christmas season officially take over.

To help welcome in the #DisneyHolidays at Disneyland Resort, we’re taking an up close look at the 2015 Haunted Mansion Holiday Gingerbread House!

Although the gingerbread scent pumped into the ballroom scene each year during the holiday takeover isn’t real, the gingerbread in the house most certainly is edible. Each year, it takes on a new theme.

This year’s design was built out of cookie playing cards stacked to recreate the iconic Haunted Mansion facade. In this video released by Disney, bakers, decorators and gingerbread workers construct finishing touches on the nearly 10-foot home sweet home.

We have some stills below taking a close look at the details, check out one poor Gingerbread Man Construction Worker who found himself buried in his work. Poor guy.
