The panel consisted of Francis Lawrence (Director), Nina Jacobson (Producer), Willio Shields (Primrose), Liam Hemsworth (Gail), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta), and the Mockingjay herself, Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss).

TOP 8 MOMENTS

Now we proudly present our Top 8 Moments From The Hunger Games Mockingjay: Part 2 Panel!

Taking Props Home

If Jennifer could have any costume or piece from the film it would be the orange backpack from the first movie, because she has fun memories of hiding her phone in it.

The Mockingjay Whistle

The cast all attempted to do the famous Mockingjay birdcall and hilarity ensued. Liam admitted that every time he tries, it always ends up sounding like the X-Files theme song.

Filming Locations

For the past movies they typically filmed in warehouses in Atlanta, but since this one was based at the Capitol they were able to film in amazing locations throughout Europe.

Have Jennifer’s film characters rubbed off on her?

She joked that she picked up the drinking habits from American Hustle, but then candidly replied that Katniss is truly brave and she is just an actress.

What is Jennifer like in person?

Jennifer is extremely silly and honest about her awkwardness in public speaking. She joked that Josh had a ‘kill switch’ for her mic if she started to say something ridiculous.

What are the cast like together?

It’s obvious that the cast has become impossibly close throughout the past 5 years filming the movies! Constantly teasing each other and recounting embarrassing moments was a consistent theme.

What is the message we can take away from the films?

Jennifer profoundly responded saying, “The power of the future is with you, and it’s in your hands,” then proceeded to stand up, drop the mic, and pretend to make an exit. Her sense of humor is outstanding!

What is it like for Jennifer to say goodbye to Katniss?

Truth is, she can never truly say goodbye to this remarkable character. Jennifer noted that “the changes in my life from filming this movie will always be with me, so I don’t feel like I’m saying goodbye to Katniss.’

Don’t miss Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2 when it comes to theaters November 20th 2015.
