The LATimes recently shared some details about the new hotels coming to the Shanghai Disney Resort. Disney remains to be careful about being sensitive Asian standards and customs and that goes down to details such as slippers and tea bags in the rooms.

Each hotel will also have complimentary custom transportation to the park.

“A shuttle will transport guests between the Toy Story Hotel and the park, and a complimentary water taxi will carry passengers across the Wishing Star Lake, between the park and the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.”

The titular Shanhai Disneyland Hotel for the new Chinese destination will be an opulent lodging that will aim to fuse Disney characters with classic Chinese culture. Bronze statues and other orante decor will give the Nouveau-inspired hotel an elegant feel to guests of the 420 rooms.

The Toy Story Hotel will be a more affordable option and offer nearly double the guest capacity with 800 rooms. A special Sunnyside Cafe will be decorated with Chinese-style kites, flown by Disney characters and there will also be Buzz and Woody themed courtyards.

In light of construction delays and many reported struggles to bring Disney’s 6th Resort to fruition, the whole project is expected to open in 2016.
