After months of preparation and construction The Simpson’s SPRINGFIELD USA has finally landed on the west coast and is officially open at Universal Studios Hollywood!
Larry Kurzweil, President & COO of Universal Studios Hollywood, Al Jean, Executive Producer of The Simpsons, plus an animated crew of Simpsons characters threw a switch last night to officially open Springfield USA to Universal guests.
Of course, the ceremony included one small nuclear power mishap. Everyone in attendance was fine, but I did notice that I glowed in the dark last night.
Springfield USA brings the world of The Simpsons to life with an enormous addition to the already popular Krustyland featuring The Simpsons Ride. Guests can eat chicken thumbs at Cletus’ Chicken Shack, try out a Krusty Burger, order a Duff beer at Moe’s, gorge on a Lard Lad Donut, scarf down Bumblebee Tacos and try Phineas Q. Butterfat’s famous ice cream.
Luigi’s serves Italian delicacies like “Meat Liker’s Pizza” and the very special Flaming Moe (non-alcoholic) is a huge hit in Moe’s Tavern. The glass is yours to keep!
