Hugo’s Sweets & Fizz at 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is not a typical vending stand at the Anaheim Convention Center, this one is attended by animatronic figures of Grogu and Hugo as seen in this year’s THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU.
Here’s a look at what we got to see at the Imagineering: Horizons pavilion during 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly D23 Expo) taking place from August 14 – 16, 2026.
What to Expect
Although not actually a vending location with said sweets or fizz, the setup of this installation mimics the look of the food stall as seen in the THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU operated by the character Hugo who was voiced by Martin Scorsese. The sleepy owner snoozes off to the side while one mischievous Grogu appears to summon up trouble from the cooler with iconic detonator bottles full of sodas. The animation here is impressive and each cycle is a different iteration of fun with Grogu including him using the Force, the sodas taking different paths to their final destination, and even scenarios where Hugo wakes up.
No details were shared as to whether this installation is just part of Disney’s research and development process or if fans may actually see this appear in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland or Walt Disney World. One thing is for certain, this is SUPER cool!
