In celebration of the semiquincentennial, Disneyland is hosting the Disney Celebrates America Cavalcade with a small procession down Mani Street USA. Mickey Mouse and a small assemblage of his best pals make their way through the heart of the park in commemoration of the America’s 250th anniversary.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Disney Celebrates America Cavalcade at Disneyland.
About the Show
A host of dancers join Mickey and Minnie plus several of their pals including Donald, Pluto, Goofy, Chip & Dale. Other popular characters join the celebration too and you might spot some of your favorites including Disney princesses such as Snow White, Moana, Pocahontas, and Merida plus various Disney heroes such as Aladdin, Genie, Pinocchio, Geppetto, Alice, Peter Pan, and Captain Hook.
The cavalcade is set to the tune of peppy version of “Living in America” by the late great James Brown.
How to Watch
Disney Celebrates America Cavalcade takes place along the parade route and lasts approximately 5 minutes from start to finish. There is no need to arrive earlier than about 15 minutes with many spots still available until right before the small procession rolls on through.
It’s also important to keep in mind that the “start” time for the cavalcade is from the point that it steps off from the parade gate. Depending on how far you are from the start point, that could add upwards of 20-minutes or more before you see it come your way.
Typical showtimes are 1:30 PM and 2:45 PM. Showtimes are subject to change so always check the Disneyland app or with Guest Relations on the day of your visit for the latest information.
