Returning for its second year on June 19, 2026, to Downtown Disney, Disney On the Yard Presents Yardfest: Part of Celebrate Soulfully invites guests to celebrate the culture and traditions of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) with energetic drum major performances featuring Drum Major Mickey Mouse. Plus, special activities, food, and fun await to round out the offerings.

What to Expect

Disney on the Yard presents Yardfest 2026 takes place one night only on June 19 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Look out for Drum Major Mickey Mouse, who was trained by 6 HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) drum majors to ensure he had those high knees and infamous back bend. Then catch Mickey Mouse making appearances throughout the event alongside HBCU drum majors and the high-energy Texas Southern University Ocean of Soul Drumline. Then, get ready to move to the beat as DJ Quami spins the music, encourages line dancing and sets the vibe.

Available at Vita Parkside Market, nosh on a few limited time items including:

  • Homecoming Sliders: Hit the yard and grab a fried chicken slider on the downbeat
  • The Red Velvet Reunion: March to the flavor and take a big bite of a red velvet whoopie pie
  • Royal Court Latte: Step to the line and cool down with a tasty beverage
  • Frozen Strawberry Yard-Ade: Refresh your rhythm with an icy drink.
  • The Yard: Set the tempo with a cocktail crafted with strawberry Hennessy, Grand Marnier, bergamot and lemon.

Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes

Disney on the Yard presents Yardfest 2026 is the kickoff to Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes, a limited-time celebration beginning June 19 through July 19, 2026, showcasing experiences that celebrate Black heritage and culture through music, food and art at the Disneyland Resort.

Guests can experience Summer Vibes Concerts in the Park on select days at Paradise Garden Bandstand in Disney California Adventure. On Fridays and Saturdays, Paradise Gardens will feature special character encounters and live variety acts.
