About the Hotel

The HOJO Anaheim opened in 1965 and over the years has embraced a retro mid-century charm that pairs perfectly with their next door neighbor, Disneyland. Plus, many of the super roomy accommodations feature upgraded amenities including microwave, fridge, iron, Keurig coffee maker, and even an adorable rubber ducky in the bathroom to add to the quirky charm.

There’s also the Castaway Cove waterplay area (with a relaxing hot tub) and completely a separate tranquil Garden Pool which both offer convenient ways to unwind from the chaos of the day — whether it’s in the parks or the Convention Center.

Location, Location, Location!

Situated as an 8-minute walk to Disneyland, you are well-positioned for easy-to-access fun. It’s also a fairly close walk down to Anaheim Convention Center — roughly the distance from Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland to the Incredicoaster in Disney California Adventure (or about a mile in normal speak!) Or, if you’re looking for a smoother method of transportation, the short distance also makes rideshare apps an appealing choice.

Along the way, you can stop for your morning boost at Panera Bread, McDonalds, Calaca Mamas, IHOP, Starbucks, and many other locations that you will pass on your way to (and from) the Anaheim Convention Center. There’s also a CVS and a Walgreens for any last minute supplies including band-aids, pain meds, shoe inserts… and deoderant.

Cosplay Friendly

If you and your crew are putting together costumes, cosplays, or Disney Bounds during D23 – The Ultimate Disney Fan Event you’ll find helpful accommodations in most rooms to make sure your ‘fit check passes the vibe check.

First of all, the rooms are pretty spacious (especially if you’re used to staying at the Disney hotels) so this gives you plenty of room to spread out. Most rooms also offer abundant counter space to layout your lightsabers, costume pieces, sewing kits, and wigs. Plus, each room also comes with standard hair dryers, ironing boards, and irons for any last minute adjustments.

Once you’re dressed and ready, there’s also a bunch of outdoor spaces — including a small grass lawn with the oversized beach chair seen below. This makes a memorable photo-op or you can stop near the fountain or other green spaces before you even make it to the Convention Center.
