For real life! Bluey’s Best Day Ever! is happening now and you can be part of the fun of the acclaimed series with a whole new interactive experience at the Fantasyland Theater in Disneyland. A day-long roster of live musical show moments, interactive play areas, and character appearances are part of the agenda and you can also find themed dining and shopping options, too.

Here’s everything you need to know about Bluey’s Best Day Ever! at the Disneyland Resort.

What to Expect

The fan-favorite series BLUEY comes to life at the Fantasyland Theater in Disneyland, bringing with it energetic dance parties, fan-favorite character appearances, selfie-ready photo ops, and a bunch of places to also rest and relax.

This is less of a show and more of an all-day activity experience aimed at the younger set, similar in approach to the recent Holiday experience or previous Pixar Fest offerings in this location. You can also sit back and soak in the ambience in between the action as the entertainment portions unfold organically on stage. Plus, themed eats celebrating the world of Bluey can be found at the nearby Troubadour Tavern as well new shopping opportunities to commemorate the visit.

NOTE: Due to the show’s immense popularity on opening weekend, Disneyland began clearing the theater after each show to ensure the long lines of people waiting in Fantasyland would be able to get the in to see the experience. We expect the operations for this area to be a bit dynamic in the next few weeks as Disney fine tunes how they want to handle crowd flow.

The lower and upper levels of the theater feature the interactive play areas but they are not super large so they can get a little crowded. It’s also important to know that with all of the music, the colors, the lighting, it can all be very LOUD — for ALL of the senses. Luckily, the adjacent stadium-style seating offers a quick respite and an overview of everything going on in the space.

How to See It

Bluey’s Best Day Ever! takes place at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland and can be enjoyed at your own pace. The availability of the area is subject to change so always check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit for the most accurate information. You can typically expect to see this experience spring to life daily from about 9:00 AM until about 4:30 PM.

Entertainment

Several times per day, there will be one of two special presentations on the stage featuring the Bluey and Bingo characters plus additional dancers and a five-piece band. Typical showtimes are 9:30 AM, 10:50 AM, 12:10 PM, 1:50 PM, and 3:10 PM. Always check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit for the latest information..

For both shows, there is a 10-minue warm-up with impromptu dancing and live music before the Bluey theme song begins to kick off the fun.

The two different presentations play out like episodes of the show following Bluey and Bingo on different imaginative adventures at their school. Several iconic moments and songs from the show unfold during each roughly 30-minute show moment.

• In one show, Unicorse is ready to tell everyone a most fantastic fairy tale and Bluey and Bingo are ready to help bring the story to life. They also end up playing Grouchy Grannies.  Of course, this is all with plenty of dancing along the way. Rounding out the fun of Bluey’s Best Day Ever, there’s a final dance moment with bubbles and keepy uppy balloons representing some of Bluey’s friends including Jack, MacKenzie, Indy, Honey and Rusty.
• In the other show, Unicorse crashes the party again and initiates an impromptu trivia gameshow for Bluey and Bingo with questions about the characters in the series. The fun continues once Chattermax joins the party, initiating another impromptu dance moment. Bluey’s Best Day Ever continues with more fun including flower dancers and more live singing and dancing.

Play Areas

In-between the show moments, you can enjoy the play areas on both the upper and lower level of the theater where storytelling, games, and even more dance-alongs unfold.

• On the lower level, find the Fairy Garden and Gnome Village play area. How many gnomes can you spot?
• On the upper level, grab a Barky Boat and race along with a friend down stream or hop on Bluey’s helicopter stump for a pretend ride to wherever your imagination can take you.

Photo-Ops

You can further put yourself into the world of the show with photo opportunities including Bluey’s iconic red family car, a larger than life backdrop of Bluey’s fun fair map, or you can sit in for an adorable class photo at Bluey’s school backdrop.

More to Explore

Fun details paying homage to the show are sprinkled all around the surrounding areas of the theater. As a nod to the episode “Stumpfest,” Bluey, Bingo and their friends cleverly painted the bottom half of the archway’s two posts with bright colors and creative designs — although clearly only to their limited reach!

Bluey’s family car looks straight out of the series too with some Keepy Uppy balloons for the Fun Fair and details including the license plate, 419-HLR which of course carries special meaning. The “HLR” is an obvious nod to Bluey’s last name (and also the breed of dog that she and her family are) and the 419 is a possible less obvious reference to hex code #419FFF which is a blue color similar to Bluey’s fur!

Fun signs also reference different episodes such as the Où est la Discothèque? sign calling back to Bandit’s Chef Pavloa’s parfait moment. There’s another sign with a royal decree to welcome the new queen letting you put yourself in the picture with a crown and scepter.

Even Flappy the butterfly can be spotted amongst other fun signage and nods around the area.
