Here’s a look at everything you need to know about the Tree Lighting Ceremony for the 2025 season of Magic Mountain’s Holiday in the Park.
About the Show
Tree Lighting CeremonyĀ features mythical characters for the winter season ā including Santa Claus ā who unite to light the parkās Christmas tree with the magic of the North Star. Afterwards, join the fun and fancy for a dance party and photos near the tree.
The showĀ lasts about 8 minutesĀ and takes place in theĀ DC UniverseĀ area of the park with typical showtime atĀ 5 pm.
How to Watch
Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place in front of the Christmas tree in the DC Universe area of the park with the Wonder Woman Flight of Courage coaster as its backdrop. Tree lightings anywhere are usually really popular evening option. Because this only happens once each evening, you will want to arrive at least 30 minutes early, longer if youāre picky about your spot. Otherwise, anywhere within sight of the tree will be a great view of the festivities. Most of the characters are on a slightly elevated stage which helps make them a little easier to see as they dance around the tree but the tree should be visible from many vantage points around the area!
Typical showtimes are 5 pm but always check the app for showtimes on the day of your visit. Performances may be dark or have fewer showtimes on week days or days with shorter hours.
