Beyond just the mazes, 2025 Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest packs several walkways around the park with scare zones themed to different original concepts bringing thrilling sights and sounds to screaming to life — and with no wait to experience the horrors!
Here’s a look at each scare zone you can experience during 2025 Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest.
What to Expect
Nearly nowhere is safe walking around the park. New scare zones this year include: Thunderbolt Alley where classic monsters meet a 1950s Rockabilly sensibility with a horror twist and Nightmares: Reign of Blood unlocking a new chapter of fear in a twisted take on the classic tales in Wonderland.
Popular scare zones from last year have also returned including Plaza de la Muerte which brings together the eerie and vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos; Underworlds of Oz explores a darker; twisted version of Oz where enchantments turn nightmarish; Grimmlore Ridge which is a realm of shadowy branches and the haunting calls of ravens; City Under Siege with clowns causing chaos with sinister laughter and unsettling grins; CarnivHELL features a circus overrun by carnivorous carnies; Nightmares: A Twisted Fantasy presents childhood stories turned into unsettling nightmares; Devil’s Triangle takes you into the ocean’s depths, haunted by the souls lost there; The Deadzone is overrun by cyberpunk zombies feeding on the unwary; and Exile Hill which is filled with sinister souls lurking in the dark passage.
Thunderbolt Alley
The 1950s and Rockabilly vices are thriving in this all-new alternate universe where classic monsters of all kinds are rocking and rolling to the beat of their afterlives. This high-energy experience is sure to wake the dead and burn rubber.
Nightmares: Reign of Blood
It’s time to experience a new chapter of fear as you enter the twisted world of Wonderland, and with every step you take, time is running out. The sinister Queen of Hearts and her forces of darkness are on the hunt for you and painting the roses red with blood. For those that go down the rabbit hole, nightmares are around every corner.
CarnivHELL
Step right up and enter this once-thriving circus taken over by a carnivorous band of carnies.
City Under Siege
Experience the city of death alive with the chaos and the laughter of sinister clowns created by CARNAGE.
Devil’s Triangle
Drift into the darkest caves of the deep blue sea where the souls of many have been lost to the Devil’s Triangle.
Exile Hill
The hill is alive with spirits of the damned and the curse of the Willoughby family. Shadows of evil thrive and search for innocent souls.
Grimmlore Ridge
Enter a chilling realm where fear takes root and grows wild, leaving the daunting calls of ravens and crows echoing through the twisted branches and shadowed alleyway.
Plaza de La Muerte
Step into the spectral celebration of Dia de los Muertos where vibrant colors blend with eerie shadows in an immersive dance of spirits and traditions.
Underworlds of Oz
Journey through the dark side of Emerald City and the mystical realms of Oz where twisted enchantments and ominous shadows consume the golden path, and the line between fantasy and nightmare blurs into a chilling adventure unlike any other.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest amps up the terror on select Thursdays through Sundays, from September 19 to November 2, 2025.
The park will be open for daytime operations on select calendar days from 10:30 am to 7 pm, with Fright Fest running from 7 pm to 12 am on Thursdays and Sundays, and 7 pm to 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
