About the Show

Chainsaw Man: The Chaos is screened in its original Japanese language with English subtitles, this 4D experience combines on-screen 2D visuals with physical effects in the theater including the motion-enabled seating and misting fans.

The story recounts the tale of Denji and the Devil Hunters as they battle the Halloween Horror Nights Devil and his army of zombies. Denji, resurrected into Chainsaw Man, a devil-human hybrid with protruding chainsaws from his body, ultimately takes control in a quest to combat the Devils. Signage in the queue helps give some backstory before you even enter the theater.

  • What are Devil Hunters? Devil Hunters are individuals who exterminate Devils that pose a threat to humans. While some operate independently as freelancers, others are employed by the government’s Public Safety Commission. To enhance their combat skills, certain Devil Hunters enter into contracts with cooperative Devils, thereby gaining access to a portion of their powers.
  • What are Devils? In the anime Chainsaw Man, Devils are monstrous beings named after various objects or concepts. They draw their power from human fear, and it is said that the more we fear them, the stronger they become.
  • Who is Chainsaw Man? Chainsaw Man is the Devil‑human hybrid form of a kid named Denji. He gained this ability to transform after making a pact with Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil. With just a simple pull of the starter rope on his chest, Denji morphs, equipped with massive chainsaws on his arms and head.

How to Watch

Chainsaw Man: The Chaos takes place at the Dreamworks Theater on the Upper Lot and lasts approximately 15 minutes.

The show is exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights with on-going screenings all night during event hours but always check the Universal Studios Hollywood app for the latest details.
