With confirmation of season 2 debuting December 10, 2025 and season 3 confirmed to begin production it’s a good time to be a fan of PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS. The successful adaptation of the young-adult books brought the full backing of the gods with not just a Percy Jackson Experience immersive activation but also a complete Hall H panel that featured cast and crew.

Here’s some of what we learned at the “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.

The panel was moderated by Timothy Simons (who also stars as Tantalus) and featured stars Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Charlie Bushnell (Luke Castellan), Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue) and Daniel Diemer (Tyson) plus executive producers Jonathan E. Steinberg, Dan Shotz and Craig Silverstein to offer an exciting peek of the upcoming season, including the debut of a brand-new teaser featuring a first look at the fan-favorite cyclops Tyson.

Below are some of the highlights from the panel.

  • Timothy introduced a brand new teaser featuring the first look at the cyclops Tyson which you can watch above.
  • Rick Riordan appeared via video message to announce that Season 2 will premiere December 10, 2025, exclusively on Disney+.
  • Season 2 adapts The Sea of Monsters, where Percy teams up with Annabeth, Clarisse, and his cyclops half-brother Tyson to retrieve the Golden Fleece and stop Kronos’s forces.
    • The production moved from volume stages to practical sets—chariot track and cabins were physically built, enhancing realism for the cast.
    • Clarisse’s role deepens, showing her trauma and psychology beyond the “bully” archetype; her arc is described as beautiful and complex.
    • Many of the actors performed a lot 0of their own stunts, especially in major action sequences like the Ironclad ship and chariot races.
  • Cast shared favorite filming moments, including:

    • Walker’s Titanic parody with Tyson on the Ironclad, complete with live singing.
    • Leah’s chariot scene where real horses unexpectedly took off, causing chaos.
    • Charlie’s acting exercise with forehead-touching empathy drills.
    • Aryan’s fake wedding proposal on the last day of shooting.
    • Dior’s foggy water fight and improvised off-camera riffing with Jason Mantzoukas.
    • Daniel’s sentimental favorite: bringing his family to see him film at Camp Half-Blood.
  • Season 3 production is set to begin soon. Riordan also revealed that casting is complete for Nico di Angelo (Levi Chrisopulos) and Bianca di Angelo (Olive Abercrombie), who will debut in Season 3.
  • We also got to dive deeper into the sea of monsters with the “The Percy Jackson Experience” immersive activation located just outside the San Diego Convention Center.
  • PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS returns exclusively on Disney+ on December 10, 2025.
