Commemorating 50 years of the iconic JAWS franchise, Universal Studios Hollywood is now home to the Amity Island Cafe during the Universal Mega Movie Summer promotion. Find a limited-time assortment of bites and sips with coastal-inspired dishes (including plant-based options) plus over-the-top desserts and drinks to enjoy with your chums.

What to Expect

Amity Island Cafe is temporarily invading Hollywood & Dine near the park entrance with a seafood-focused menu inspired by JAWS. Highlights include a premium Lobster Roll, classic Fish and Chips, a combo Fish and Chicken Basket, and the Shark Bait Burger featuring smoked brisket. A plant-based Vegan Crab Cake Sandwich rounds out the entrée options.

Desserts lean into theme park whimsy with choices like the Shark Fin Funnel Cake, Amity Beach Lifesaver Donut, and Amity Island Parfait. Beverage offerings include the non-alcoholic Amity Island Open Water and the rum-based Shark Bite cocktail, both topped with a shark lollipop for added flair. Of course, a roster of regular drinks, beer, and wine is also available.

What We Tried

Fish and Chips ($18.99) features beer-battered cod served with seasoned pub fries and a side of tartar sauce. We were so surprised how light and crispy the batter was on the fish. It was a little greasy but we still very much enjoyed this. The fries are also a nice crunchy complement. Only wish they had malt vinegar to pir with the tartar sauce.

Fish and Chicken Basket ($17.99) features beer-battered cod and fried chicken tenders served with seasoned pub fries and a side of tartar sauce. The fish was a surprising delight and the chicken was a perfectly suitable choice for a bit of surf and turf. We know Jaws wasn’t picky.

Shark Bait Burger ($18.99) is an all beef burger topped with smoked beef brisket, American cheese, and pickles and served with fries. This is just about everything you’d expect. The flavors are great and it’s a nice hearty choice if you’re not a fan of seafood.

Shark Fin Funnel Cake ($13.99) features a maple cinnamon funnel cake topped with blueberry compote, whipped cream, blue sanding sugar, and a shark fin. There’s a lot going on here but the the maple and cinnamon are perhaps the most subtle element, overpowered by the blueberry compote. The funnel cake was nice and crisp and this sugar bomb is easily shareable with several people.
