More than 70 new food and drink items have debuted at the Happiest Place on Earth in celebration of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary celebration and we’ve got reviews of some the most popular items.

Here’s a look at the food and drink we tried during the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration.

What We Tried

Grilled Tahitian Ribs

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

🎉 Grilled Tahitian Ribs ($19.49) are served with white rice and pineapple slaw. Despite a hefty price tag, this is a really great option The meat was tender and juicy and cooked perefectly. The white rice is a great complement to soak up extra sauce and the hint of pineapple in the slaw was barely-there but just-enough at the same time.

Ribeye Steak and Prawns

Ribeye Steak and Prawns (second course in an $89 prix-fixe) with western butter, loaded baked potato, and asparagus. It’s everything you’d expect, it’s a very decadent and rich meal that will leave you fully satisfied.

Vegetable Hearts Salad

Vegetable Hearts Salad (first course in an $89 prix-fixe) includes baby greens, artichoke hearts, hearts of palm, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, and lemon herb ranch. It’s a fun concept but the salad overall was slightly overwhelming. Still tasty, though!

Chocolate Chip Mousse

Chocolate Chip Mousse (third course in an $89 prix-fixe) feature a chocolate chip mousse with a cocoa sponge and red glitter glaze covered with vanilla bean pavlova. Points for presentation but we weren’t clamoring for more after we finished these prettier-than-it-tastes confection.

Fried Tamale Walking Taco

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

🎉 Fried Tamale Walking Taco ($13.99) features a fried beef tamale with chili, corn chips, and diced onions with cilantro, shredded cheese, and sour cream. It’s hard to know why Disney is calling this a walking taco as there’s nothing about this dish that is portable but everything about it is absolutely delicious. The texture of the beef tamale holds up to the chili and other toppings. You know what you’re getting here and it tastes great.

Mocha Cream Puff

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫

🎉 Mocha Cream Puff ($7.99) is filled with cinnamon-mocha pastry cream and topped with chocolate-covered corn chips. Have you had a Frito corn chip and thought: I wonder how this would taste covered in dark chocolate? After eating this, you will no longer have to wonder… it’s actually delightful! Plus, the filling in the cream puff is robust and rich. Another great choice.

Hook’s Galley Tuna Melt

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

🎉 Hook’s Galley Tuna Melt ($13.99) features fresh tuna salad topped with Muenster and herb-marinated tomatoes served with house chips. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been at Disneyland and craved tuna but this tuna melt surprised us and might just have us coming back for me. It’s served open face and the tuna has a little bit of heat to it. It’s simple but effective.

70th Stuff

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

70th Stuff ($7.29) is a shortbread cookie with a cookies and cream cake, fresh raspberry, and raspberry jam surrounded with white chocolate mousse and topped with colored sprinkles. Forget the grey stuff, this upgrade on the traditional Red Rose Taverne dessert takes the original flavor and updates with even more chocolate fresh raspberry and raspberry compote.

Sparkling Peach Punch

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫

Sparkling Peach Punch ($6.99) is a non-alcoholic concoction featuring Sprite and peach syrup with assorted popping spheres. She tastes fine but she’s not getting many points for presentation. For the price, we’d suggest one of the other regular menu item beverages.

Mickey-shaped Celebration Waffles

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫

Mickey-shaped Celebration Waffles ($10.99) have a strawberry cream filling and are topped with sprinkles and powdered sugar. The filling was not our favorite, the taste was fine but it’s quite runny making this very messy to eat. So messy, it ended up all over our clothes after biting into it. We would have rather just had more of that strawberry whipped cream.

70th Celebration Cake

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

70th Celebration Cake ($7.29) features layers of pound cake, cherry compote, confetti cake, vanilla bean white chocolate mousse, and lemon curd pastry cream covered with a white chocolate ganache buttercream. We love a good thick ice cold butter cream and this delivers. The cherry compote brings a nice twist to the combo to give it some flair.

Chili Cheese Corn Dog

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫

🎉 Chili Cheese Corn Dog ($13.29) features a crisp corn dog topped with chili, shredded cheddar and corn chips. This is a unique one and despite being called a corn dog is not served on a stick. The batter is crispy and unexpected and pairs well with the other flavors. It’s basically a chili dog but with a nice crisp batter instead.

W.E.D. Chili Cheese Baked Potato

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

🎉 W.E.D. Chili Cheese Baked Potato ($11.99) is topped with beef and bean chili, cheese, sour cream, diced onions, and cornbread. Another chili dish and another winner. You know exactly what you get here and it’s served in a perfectly baked potato. This is hearty and filling and will not disappoint.

Chicken Pot Pie Baked Potato

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Chicken Pot Pie Baked Potato ($11.99) features a chicken pot pie filling with pie crust crumble. We were so surprised to find another solid winner here. The filling is rich and savory with large chunks of chicken and the veggies were soft without being mushy. Wish there was more of the pie crust crumble on top for added texture but we loved this.

Tiramisu Cold Brew

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫

Tiramisu Cold Brew ($7.29) is a non-alcoholic drink featuring dark chocolate cold brew with tiramisu topper and ladyfinger cookie. Once again, the sour Joffrey’s chocolate almost ruins an otherwise fun and tasty drink. The topper tastes so good and the crunchy lady finger on top was a delight to dunk. We saved this one by popping in some extra coffee creamers to mellow out the trademark Joffrey’s sour bitterness.

Dancing Shimmering Lights

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫

🎉 Dancing Shimmering Lights ($7.99) is a non-alcoholic beverage with a sweet berry lemonade with blackberry topper and colorful sanding sugar. As with most mocktails, there’s a lot of sugar here and not a lot of surprise The berry flavor is not cloyingly sweet but definitely artificial. The flavor profile when combined with the creamy topping was like Jello with whipped cream.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Flop-Over

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫

Chicken Bacon Ranch Flop-Over ($11.49) features a folded over pizz with ranch, bacon bits, diced chicken, mozzarella, and provolone. We wanted to say we dion’t like this but it’s a wonderful salty cheesey messy joy to eat if you’re in the area and craving something savory.

Space Place Cottage Fries

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫

🎉 Space Place Cottage Fries ($9.49) are fries tossed in Parmesan butter and parsley and served with house-made ranch​. These are sliced thing in rounds with small ridges and were surprisingly very tasty. While not exactly a dupe, the combination of the seasoning and cheese on the fries with their ranch dressing reminded us a bit of eating Wing Stop fries and ranch.

Lemon Chiffon Pretzel

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫

🎉 Lemon Chiffon Pretzel ($8.50) is a cream cheese-filled pretzel dipped in lemon-flavored icing, topped with crushed vanilla wafers. We were very excited to try this but ultimately disappointed. There’s nothing inherently bad here, it just wasn’t terribly exciting.

70th Celebration Macaron

RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

70th Celebration Macaron ($8.29) is filled with vanilla bean buttercream, strawberry jam, and fresh strawberry with strawberry whipped topping and strawberry crunch. This is every bit as delightful as you would think. Is it a sugar bomb? Sure but it’s a celebration, afetr all!
