Without confirming much of anything, Disney Parks unveiled a new look at a refreshed Jack Skellington character. The reveal came on the same day that Disney confirmed ticket sale dates for the Walt Disney World Not So Scary Halloween Party but the character famously also appears at Disneyland.

Here’s a closer look at the before and after of the new Jack Skellington character for Disney Parks.

The quick “unboxing” video shared to social media features Jack Skellington sporting a more convincing skeletal head and bony fingers that appear more natural for up-close interactions. It’s unclear if Sally, who also appears in the video, has any major updates. The social post was made with only hash tags #DisneyParks #JackSkellington #NightmareBeforeChristmas but we expect the character to make his fresh-faced debut on both coasts this year.

Traditionally, when Disney characters in the parks get a “refresh” we can usually expect the updates to take place in all instances where the characters appear in Disney Parks around the globe. No details have been announced about the newly refreshed Jack Skellington character. It’s expected that he will be available at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World as in previous years.
