We had the chance to taste our way through Universal Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood diving into seven immersive worlds celebrating Star Trek, Back to the Future, Dungeons & Dragons, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Super Nintendo World.
With hosted tickets, we were given access to the park to uncover all the fun for ourselves. Here’s a look at all the food and drink we tried during Universal Fan Fest Nights 2025 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
What We Tried
All of the items we tried are available with the Fan Fest Nights Dining Pass. You can check out our FULL REVIEW of the Fan Fest Nights Dining Pass to see if it’s the right choice for you but below we’ve indicated menu items that you can redeem.

Star Trek: Red Alert
Here’s a look at what we tried at Quark’s Cafe at Hollywood & Dine.
- 🌞 Klingon Targ Legs ($16.99) Charsui honey pork wings served with kimchi fried rice were surprisingly delicious. The rice was take it or leave it but the meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Not super filling but definitely a good choice.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜⚫
- 🌞 Vulcan Fritters ($16.99) Fried mushroom fritters served with hummus and dusted with a Redspice Vulcan logo was pretty to look at but doesn’t offer much in the wey of a hearty meal. Better as a shared appetizer despite its billing as an entree.
- RATING: 💜💜⚫⚫⚫
- 🌞 Bajoran Hasperat ($16.99) Slow-cooked spicy pork, gochujang, pickled vegetables with sriracha mayonnaise creating a surprisingly flavorful and memorable dish. This is theme park spicy and will but a sniffle in your nose. A lot of meat.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
Andorian Red Bat Sandwich ($15.99) Herb marinated chicken breast on a bao bun with garlic aioli, charred red onion and arugula served with Andorian Tuber Root. The flavors are good, the chicken was a little dry but not overly so. The fries were great.
- RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
Orion Spice Funnel Cake ($13.99) Matcha dusted funnel cake topped with matcha icing, whipped cream and Orion spice crumble. This was a perfectly fine option and it’s more than shareable with a few people. We just prefer a crunchier funnel cake and this one was a lot more cakey than we were expecting.
- RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
- ☀️ Plomeek Tea ($8) a non-alcoholic concoction with hibiscus iced tea, fresh raspberries and garnished with mint sprig. Perfectly light and refreshing.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
Back to the Future: Destination Hill Valley
Here’s a look at what we tried at Mel’s Diner.
- ☀️ Time Traveler’s Malt Shake ($11) Vanilla ice cream, blue raspberry sauce and whipped cream topped with blue and silver sprinkles with a cherry on top. As classic as it comes for a 1950s treat but the blue raspberry swirl adds a time-twisting combo. Overall, the blueberry did not impede on an otherwise standard vanilla shake.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
Outatime Cookie ($5.99) Chocolate malt cookie with crunchie pieces and chocolate pieces and garnished with edible flame colored icing. The chocolate cookie is hard and the fondant is a strange compliment but its sandwiched with more chocolate. We brought this home and had it with coffee the next morning (read: dunk in coffee) and we were pretty happy. Pro-top: DO NOT REFRIDGERATE!
- RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep
Here’s a look at what we tried at The First Roll Tavern at Jurassic Cove.
Gelatinous Cube ($7.99) Blue raspberry gummy filled with candy bones and sugar weapons. This is so stupid and we loved it. As a warning the gelatin is fairly firm on this one but you know what you’re getting here and it’s silly and satisfying.
- RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
- ☀️ Beholder’s Brew Fondue ($12.99) Rosemary and onion tavern loaf served with creamy beer fondue. This was by far the biggest disappointment of the evening. It was $13 for a crusty dry loaf of bread, shredded into dippable portions served with a thimble-full of cheese. It really puts the DUNGEONS vibe into Dungeons and Dragon. DO NOT GET THIS.
- RATING: 💜⚫⚫⚫⚫
One Piece: Grand Pirate Gathering
Here’s a look at what we tried at Sanji’s Galley at Cocina Mexicana.
Luffy’s Meat on a Bone ($19.99) Braised ribs topped with mole, sesame seeds and cilantro. This might be our favorite bite of the night. There’s nothing spectacular about the rice and the beans but the ribs were tender and juicy and the mole was a perfect way to “spice” this up instead of just standard BBQ sauce.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
- 🌞 Zoro’s Torta ($16.99) Grilled shrimp with chile lime crema, cabbage slaw and avocados with a side of tortilla chips. It’s a shrimp sandwich and it tastes good but there’s nothing remarkable with this choice.
- RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
- 🌞 Sanji’s Chicken Adobo ($16.99) Marinated chicken simmered in a blend of chili and garlic served over Spanish rice, refried beans and cotija cheese brow. This was surprisingly tasty and something we can easily see ourselves eating again. Flavorful and comforting.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
- ☀️ Devil Fruit Concha ($7.99) Sweet bread roll with ginger pineapple filling. We we weren’t disappointed with this choice but despite its gorgeous appearance it doesn’t offer much in the way of a flavor adventure.
- RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
Jujutsu Kaisen: Hunger of the Cursed
Here’s a look at what we tried at Jujutsu Kaisen Concession Cart.
- ☀️ Sukuna Cursed Crunch ($5.99) Red velvet cookie with white chocolate chips. If this sounds pretty straight forward and basic, that’s because it is. Sometimes simple is the way to go. Presentation lacking in a prepackaged sheet but still good.
- RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
- ☀️ Nobara’s Strawberry Hammer Smash ($11) A frozen strawberry beverage with sweet and spicy chili and lime rim and garnished with a fresh strawberry. Is it just a Fanta strawberry icee with a chamoy/Tajin rim and a strawberry? Yes. Did we absolutely love it? Also, yes. Steep price tag but oh-so-good.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Here’s a look at what we tried at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream counter and the Magic Neep Cart.
The Pygmy Puff Sundae ($10.29): Strawberry soft serve topped with edible pearls and cotton candy floss and an edible candy piece. There’s no signage for this other than a scant mention on the menu board so it’s easy to miss but this is quite possibly the cutest offering in all of Fan Fest Nights. Plus, it’s super tasty. Wish this was on the regular menu rotation.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
- Hogwarts Meat Pie ($6.99): Puff pastry filled with braised beef, potatoes, peas, onions and carrots. This was so incredibly satisfying on a crisp chilly night. The pastry is flaky buttery perfection and the filling is warm, cozy, and perfectly seasoned. Absolutely loved this.
- RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
Super Nintendo World: Let’s Go Yoshi!
Here’s a look at what we tried at Toadstool Cafe.
- ☀️ Yoshi’s Smoothie (Apple-Melon) ($13) Bursting with the flavors of green apple and honeydew melon with a touch of milk for creaminess and topped with whipped cream, honeydew melon syrup and a mint sprig. Presentation is gorgeous but this tasted like someone didn’t know syrup had already been added and then added a full extra portion. Three separate people in our group couldn’t take more than a sip. Artificial tasting and way too sweet.
- RATING: 💜⚫⚫⚫⚫
- 🌞 Yoshi’s Fettuccini Alfredo ($16.99) Pesto alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, broccoli and mushrooms topped with Yoshi Egg bread. In theory this should work and for the most part it does, it’s just our portion was very bland. The chicken was cooked perfectly though.
- RATING: 💜💜⚫⚫⚫
Coke Freestyle, Refillable Cups
If you are constantly aiming to quench your thirst — or if you are visiting for a full day in the parks — you might find the Coke Freestyle refillable cup option appealing. You can get a single cup for $19 or get two cups for $17 each. Or, if you have an old sipper you previously purchased, simply pay a $12 re-activation fee.
There are three unique flavors of beverages to enjoy during the event from the Coke Freestyle machines: the bright green Fanta-based Fan Fav, an orange Barq’s Cream Soda based Battle Blast, and a crimson Sprite-based Fantasy Fizz.
