Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession returns once again bringing a festive, colorful, celebration to Disney California Adventure with Mulan and Mushu plus dancers, drummers, and other Disney friends.

Here’s everything you need to know about Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession as part of the 2025 Lunar New Year celebration at the Disneyland Resort.

About the Show

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession is a lot smaller than a typical parade at Disney Parks hence its name as a “procession.” It features  single float upon which Mulan and Mushu can be found along with other Disney friends including Chip and Dale.

The beginning and ending of the parade is filled out with performers including flower dancers, ribbon dancers, dragon performers, and performers doing choreographed moves inspired by martial arts.

How to See It

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession is performed a few times each day along the performance corridor and lasts for approximately 5 minutes. The small procession (which Disney doesn’t officially call a parade or cavalcade) traverses Disney California Adventure from Hollywood Land to the Pixar Pier parade gate at the back of the park. The parade usually begins in Hollywood Land but always check with Cast Members on the day of your visit to be sure.

Although popular, there’s not usually much of a need to stake out a spot since the whole experience lasts less than five minutes. You can usually grab a decent spot right up until the parade is passing through so there’s no need to arrive early unless you’re picky about your spot.

Typical showtimes for the procession are 12:45 PM, 2:30 PM  5:00 PM, and 6:45 PM but always check the Disneyland app for the latest information.
