The Disneyland 70th Anniversary celebration is just around the corner, taking place from May 16, 2025 through summer 2026. The festivities will include the debut of new and returning entertainment offerings under the banner of “Celebrate Happy.” Truly, to all who come to this happy place, welcome!
Here’s everything we know so far about the Disneyland 70th Anniversary celebration at the Disneyland Resort.
A Festive Occasion
As a celebration of seven decades of the Happiest place on Earth,, the whole Resort will see a decor package that will include festive bunting, lamppost banners, signage, and more. Even Mickey, Minnie, and their friends are getting into the spirit with coordinated outfits to commemorate 70 years of magic.
New Attraction
The new Walt Disney – A Magical Life show will be a multimedia presentation celebrating the life of Walt Disney and the monumental impact he had on American pop culture. It will culminate with a special audio animatronic of the creative tycoon as a full circle moment tribute to the man who helped pioneer the use of robotics in the entertainment space. The show will join — but not replace — the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln show at the Main Street Opera House.

New Entertainment
Four new entertainment offerings are being added as part of the festivities. The big-ticket offering will be over at Disney California Adventure which will be host to the brand-new World of Color Happiness. At Disneyland, a brand new cavalcade called Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy will feature favorite friends. Plus, both parks will get new projection shows expected to surround the banner theme of Celebrate Happy.

Returning Entertainment
The highly-anticipated return of Paint the Night has many fans chanting “when can we do this again” as the memorable theme for the iconic nighttime parade that debuted in 2015 as part of Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration.
Other returning favorites during the 70th anniversary include the popular Wondrous Journey projection show that is augmented with fireworks on select nights which debuted in 2023 as part of the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, and last year’s Better Together: A Pixar Celebration which debuted as part of the return of the Pixar Fest summer promotion.

During D23 2024, we got our first look at a lot of the key items coming for the Celebrate Happy 70th Anniversary of Disneyland. Fans will find a wide array of items — from ears, hats, and Spirit Jerseys to pinks, drinkware, and more.
