Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure is always a good time but the characters and all of the sweet treats are a big highlight.
During the after-hours event, guests can stuff their complimentary trick-or-treat bags with treats (including healthier options like pretzels, crackers, and carrots) and also come face-to-face with a whole bunch of Disney characters — many of which can only be seen during the event!

Treat Trails
The Candy
When you check in for Oogie Boogie Bash, you are given your event wristband and a handy (little) bag to hold your candy. We brought an extra backpack which served as the perfect backup to hold even more treats once our bags got full! We saw other astute treaters filling pillow cases and merch bags throughout the night.
Don’t forget to grab an event map (or check out posting below) which highlights all the Treat Trails and there’s no limit to how many times you go through each one!

The Characters
Many of the Treat Trails pack an extra special treat with character appearances but you can also find characters around the park at dedicated meet and greets. This year, new characters (who you can only see during the event) include Hades (as a speaking character) plus Pain and Panic from HERCULES, Dr. Doofensmirz from PHINEAS AND FEB, Wade and Ember from ELEMENTAL, and Agatha Harkness dons a new outfit from her upcoming show AGATHA ALL ALONG.
Favorites from previous years have also returned including Judge Doom from WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT, Yokai from BIG HERO 6, Lotso Huggin’ Bear from TOY STORY 3, and Prince Hans from FROZEN, Ernesto de la Cruz from COCO, Bruno from ENCANTO, Mad Madam Mim from THE SWORD IN THE STONE, and of course, a special appearance by Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle dressed as the Sanderson Sisters.
And don’t forget, there’s a QR code on your event wristband which you can use to scan for complimentary PhotoPass downloads all night long!

Who We Saw
Hades lurks in his hideaway in Hollywood Land.
Pain and Panic are causing trouble amongst the mortals. Find them in Carthay Circle along with several other characters.
Dr. Doofensmirz from PHINEAS AND FEB is hatching his latest scehmes from his new base in the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land.
Hiya, hon! Love to see Agatha Harkness! Catch her in Avengers Campus.
Judge Doom is keeping to his name and dispensing terror all night long. You might even witness him take out his vengeance on a poor cartoon show just like in the film. Find him at the Grizzly Peak Airfield near Soarin’.
Yokai bubbles in anger over his perceived injustices. Find him in San Fransokyo Square.
Lotso Huggin’ Bear is ready for big big hugs… and yes he actually does smell like strawberries. Find him near Toy Story Midway Mania.
Prince Hans is surely up to no good across the Southern Isles and now at this event. Find him in Carthay Circle along with several other characters.
Sheriff of Nottingham from ROBIN HOOD is taking a night off from collecting taxes. Find him in Carthay Circle along with Prince John and other characters.
Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle Cow are dressed up as Sanderson Sisters! Find them near Hollywood Lounge.
Ernesto de la Cruz hopes you will remember him. Find him near the Hyperion Theater.
We don’t talk about Bruno! Find him near Grizzly Peak.
Mad Madam Mim wishes you a zim zaberim zim! Find her in the Bountiful Valley Hideaway near the Avengeres Campus entrance.
Sid once again brought all of his to blow up — play with safely — during the event in Pixar Pier.
Kingdom Hearts characters alternate in Paradise Park with Mickey, Goofy, and Donald.
Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz and Red are all dressed for Haul-O-Ween. Find them in Cars Land respectively dressed as a super hero, vampire, pirate, and clown.
Of course, as the namesake for the whole event, you better believe you can spot Oogie Boogie himself! Head into Disney Animation!

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party returns to Disney California Adventure on select nights August 25 – October 31, 2024.
Tickets for the event are sold out but you can always ask at the ticket booths or Guest Relations day-of for potential availability!
