As the Disney Parks continue to evolve, one thing that modern travelers are constantly searching for are places to just sit back and relax for a bit and at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event fans got confirmation of two new spaces that will be coming to Walt Disney World.
Here’s everything we learned at the Disney Experiences Showcase at the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
The showcase for Disney Experiences at the Honda Center was hosted Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences (AKA head of Parks and Resorts) who was joined for a silly number with Darren Criss and Skylar Astin who made several rapid-fire announcents including the details for the new lounges.
EPCOT Lounge
- This just-announced lounge is inspired by the stories, shapes, and enduring legacy of Spaceship Earth as a shining beacon of optimism and hope.
- Taking inspiration from the geometric sphere, the zen space to gather and enjoy refreshments will be draped with rich textures and warm metallic tones, giving it a mysterious and elegant intimacy.
- Will welcome their first guests in 2025.
Pirates Tavern
- First announced at Destination D23 last year, this rambunctious watering hole will offer a welcoming haven for all pirate-kind, big and small, and everyone in between.
- In the newly released artwork, X marks the spot for a sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub inside this tavern location coming to Magic Kingdom Park.
- Will welcome their first guests in 2025.
