With a spring vibe in the air, 2024 Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is back again with one its most fun and unpredictable offerings: The Boysenberry Pie Eating Contest! In the classic style of a county fair, contestants are matched up once per day to see who can clear their pie tins the fastest!
Here’s everything you need to know about the Boysenberry Pie Eating Contest!
About the Contest
Both children and adults are invited to take part in the joyous event centered around consuming Knott’s most famous berry. If you’re interested in participating, simply head to the Calico Mine Stage and look out for Knott’s farm hands who will be encouraging entrants to join.
When it’s time for the contest, names will be chosen at random and lucky participants will be invited up to the stage where they will be fitted with their ponchos and geared up with a pie. Then it’s hands behind your backs and time to clear those pie tins! To the victor? ANOTHER Boysenberry Pie to take home plus a blue ribbon commemorating the achievement!
One important thing to note for the Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival Pie Eat Contest is that you don’t necessarily have to EAT all of your pie and you don’t have to finish first. Instead, judging will be done based on who has cleared the most pie out of their tin when the time is called!
