Although all the shine and attention from today’s announcements are going to THE MANDALORIAN AND GROG, there is more exciting news coming from a Galaxy far, far away as Disney has also officially confirmed that AHSOKA will get a second season.

In a blink-and-miss statement from today’s big Mandalorian news, Disney also confirmed “[Dave] Filoni is also currently developing the second season of the popular Disney+ series, Ahsoka.”

The first season of the series brought fans of the animated series a lot of joy with the live-action debut of a character who was actually Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan before he turned to the Dark Side. Although she debuted in THE CLONE WARS animated series, she also was an important character in STAR WARS REBELS. Characters and story threads from both series were incorporated into the first season of AHSOKA.
