In a letter sent today to Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members, Bill Diercksen (Senior Vice President & General Manager. Disney Vacation Club and Aulani) confirmed that Disney will be transitioning away from RCI. In its place, Interval International will be the exclusive new exchange provider for traditional exchanges, effective January 1, 2022. The name might sound familiar to long-time DVC members as it was previously an exchange partner before 2009.

Disney promises the relationship will offer a broad range of access to thousands of resorts in locations across Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, plus the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. The curated portfolio includes well-known resorts offered by Marriott, Sheraton, Hyatt and Westin, and more.

Nightly and weekly exchanges with RCI’s current program will be available until Dec. 31, 2021. Additionally, any confirmed reservations or points that have been deposited to RCI will be honored through 2023.

Additional details released on 12/7 indicate Disney Vacation Club Members will enjoy flexible exchange opportunities and upgraded benefits and services including:

  • The ability to exchange their points toward ShortStay Exchange®
  • Receive discounts on Getaway vacation rentals
  • Utilize VIP ConciergeSM for personal assistance, 24/7
  • Interval’s hotel exchange benefit will also be available to eligible Disney Vacation Club Members at a later date.

See it for Yourself

Interval International will be the exclusive new exchange provider for Disney Vacation Club effective January 1, 2022.
