As vaccinations continue across the country for the COVID-19 coronavirus, the OCR confirmed today that Disneyland will be taking an active role in helping speed the inoculation process. Disneyland will will become one of the state’s major vaccine distribution sites which includes other locations such as Dodger Stadium and other stadiums, fairgrounds and convention centers.

Details are sparse for when or where on property vaccinations will begin but the location will be available only by appointment. County officials have set a goal of completing all vaccinations by July 4, 2021.

The county is recruiting volunteers to help run the sites, including people with medical training and others to do non-medical tasks. The super sites are expected to vaccinate thousands of people per day.

Disneyland Resort ceased normal operation of its theme parks on March 16 of last year and have yet to return to normal operation. The Downtown Disney shopping and dining center at the Resort returned to operation on July 9 of last year and has been met with various levels of restrictions on operating procedure.
