In a DPB posting today confirming a huge selection of Halloween and fall themed merchandise, the Disneyland Resort introduced a “new” shop coming temporarily to Downtown Disney: the Disneyland Resort Backlot Premiere Shop.

Located inside of Stage 17 at Disney California Adventure, the new shop will be accessible from the east side of the Main Entrance esplanade (you won’t enter DCA’s main gates). The flex-use space has served a variety of purposes over the years and now will be used to feature premiere favorite seasonal merchandise that you can alternatively find at World of Disney and other select Disney shops.

The additional shop adds much needed retail space for the official Disney-owned shopping locations which consistently and continually boast demand larger than capacity limits allow. Lines for World of Disney or even smaller Disney Home and Disney Dress Shop locations have been seen with waits of an hour or longer just to go in and shop.
