Opening July 23, 2019 in Mediterranean Harbor at Tokyo DisneySea, SOARING: FANTASTIC FLIGHT brings the beloved Soarin’ ride experience popular at other Disney parks to the Japanese resort for the first time.
Nestled in the hills of Mediterranean Harbor, amidst the backdrop of an old-world Italian village, the Museum of Fantastic Flight is dedicated to humankind’s enduring dream of flying. Today, the museum celebrates Camellia Falco (presumably a member of S.E.A.) — a visionary innovator in the fledgling field of aviation — with a special retrospective of her life.
A grand tour of the museum includes a magical visit from the spirit of Camellia and culminates with guests boarding her latest and greatest achievement — a flying vehicle of her own design called the Dream Flyer. Guests soon experience what Camellia believed, that our imagination can propel us into the future and take us everywhere in the world we wish to go. And before guests know it, their spirits are sent soaring around the world.
While the film will include some scenes from the existing Soarin’ Around the World attraction at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort and Shanghai Disney Resort, Oriental Land Company states the Tokyo DisneySea film will also feature new, original scenes created just for this park.
This looks beyond amazing! Who said that people want attractions based on Disney movies? This one proves, Imagineering still has it. Tokyo gets the best, like always and that’s great for the Japanese people.
And another member of the S.E.A., I love it!
