IMG_0030After initially hesitantly launching into FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, a few years ago we never knew we’d be as excited for the spin-off to AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD but it now stands as big a highlight for us as its big sister. That’s why we knew we couldn’t miss the panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year, hosted by the fabulous Yvette Nicole Brown.

Panelists included cast members Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Jenna Elfman, Maggie Grace, and Garret Dillahunt plus executive producers and showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, executive producers Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, and Dave Alpert, and special effects makeup supervisor and executive producer Greg Nicotero. to discuss where the series left off in the midseason finale and what to look forward to when the show returns August 12.

Right off the bat, we were treated to a special sneak preview of the second half of season 4. The assemblage of panelists was lively as always although it was certainly sad to (SPOILER ALERT) have the show continuing on without either Kim Dickens or Frank Dillane. Some interesting moments during the panel included singing Happy Birthday to Alycia Debnam-CareyDanay Garcia recounting going to a bank in full costume and makeup and trying to get some new checks; Jenna Elfman wanting to ship Laura and John Dorie; and a confirmation that we will continue to see small cross-overs between FEAR THE WALKING DEAD and THE WALKING DEAD. Gale Anne Hurd also jokingy confirmed that the BREAKING BAD meth is what caused the undead outbreak.

FEAR THE WALKING DEAD returns to AMC on August 12, 2018.
