WonderCon landed in Anaheim once again this weekend and it brought with the the expected whirlwind of cosplay, fans, stars, and general geekdom together in on place. Although we were only able to experience just a single day of it this year, it’s always a fun adventure. Certainly a smaller venture than summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, WonderCon packs an impressive punch.

Let’s dive in now to enjoy a small taste of WonderCon 2018!

Cosplay

This is always a personal favorite and we didn’t get to experience nearly enough of it since we were running all around the convention space on Saturday. Look at some of these real gems! Jareth and baby Toby are our favorites but Cinema Makeup School brought it again with an amazing Judge Claude Frollo. The Disney version of the Wicked Witch was also really, really great. Of course, Captain Eo and Disney characters are a staple. And how do we not represent Westworld and Jurassic Park?

Exhibit Floor

This is always a pantheon of geekdom. You’ll find every fandom represented and meet some great people along the way.

Star Wars is well represented.

A massive pin wall.

You might even bump into some Disney royalty including Margaret Kerry who embraces the work she did as a reference model for Tinker Bell in the original Peter Pan animated feature.

There’s always a bunch of great memorabilia and other pieces on display.

Tons of purchasing opportunities from fans such as our friends at Whosits and Whatsits!

Speaking of fan merch… If you are looking for a way to help support MouseInfo so we can continue to bring you more info about the mouse, feel free to browse our TeePublic Store below. Aside from tees, you can also find coffee mugs, phone & laptop cases, and more!

Find more designs at our store: mouseinfo.com/tees.

There’s special experiences and activations to enjoy, too.

Your mileage will vary with Convention food. The mac and cheese with BBQ brisket was not bad. Burgers didn’t look as great. But there’s also outside a ton of food trucks!

Panels

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Jeph Loeb is a familiar moderator for Marvel TV panels and he did the same for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. making its first debut in the big Arena. Cast and show-runners were in tow including Chloe Bennet, Ming-Na Wen, Iaian De Casestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Jeff Ward, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon, and Jeff Bell. Clark Gregg took part in the March for our Lives and Loeb noted that it’s probably the ONLY time he’s not been part of a S.H.I.E.L.D. panel since the show launched.

Lost in Space (Netflix)

Moderator Clarke Wolfe spoke with producer Zack Estrin and the new cast of the new Robinson family including Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Max Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russel, plus other cast members Ignaco Serricchio and Parker Posey!

Fear the Walking Dead

This is certainly outside of the scope of MouseInfo but we are personally obsessed with the show and it’s original sister The Wakling Dead. Moderator Chris Hardwick oversaw the lively discussion with show runners and cast including Scott Gimple, Andrew Chambliss, Ian Goldberg, Greg Nicotero, Colman Domingo, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Danay Garcia plus show newbies for the upcoming season: Lennie James, Maggie Grace, Garret Dillahunt, and Jenna Elfman.

We sat behind two cosplayers dressed as Michonne and Rick. So classic. Love it!

THE END!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!
