MOANA has come ashore at Disney’s fabulous El Capitan Theater in Hollywood for a special engagement presented from November 23 to December 11. Apart from seeing the film projected in brilliant 2D Dolby Vision and with Dolby Atmos sound, there’s a few extra perks to making the trek to Hollywood for Disney Animation’s latest feature.
We were invited to check out the festivities and got to enjoy all the extra goodies that are also included before the movie experience even begins. The Side Street Strutters Jazz Band (as seen at Disneyland) perform a musical Celebration of the Movies of John Musker and Ron Clements. What does that entail exactly? Perhaps you’ve heard of THE LITTLE MERMAID, ALADDIN, HERCULES and THE PRINCESS & THE FROG to name a few? We get a fun musical journey through those features. Plus, afterwards there’s also a live stage appearance by Moana herself!
Of course, theatre organist Rob Richards was on hand to perform live on the mighty Wurlitzer.
The Disneyland Side Street Strutters Jazz Band play a great set of songs that celebrate the movies of John Musker and Ron Clements.
Moana also makes a splashy appearance on stage dancing to one of the fantastic songs from the fim. You can learn more about the music (and give it all a listen too) at the path below:
